The flight of the arrow is felt with the heart

The IVth International Traditional Archery Tournament "Historical Park 2023" unfolded in an impressive and spectacular manner.

The power of inspiration, sportsmanship and friendship brought together over 130 competitors from 10 countries. Archers from different parts of the globe tested their precision and skills in 17 individual disciplines and a team competition on a traditional Mongolian target.

The park echoed with a variety of languages: Bulgarian, Russian, English, Turkish, Romanian, Moldovan. It didn't matter that we were different in origin, faith and language, we were brought together by the magic of the ancient art of traditional archery, which has flown through world history to unite and bring together young and old.

One of the special guests of the tournament, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Bulgaria: Her Excellency Ms. Sayanaa Lhagvasuren, awarded prizes to the winners of the Mongolian target team competition.

The competition was held under the watchful eye of Prof. Stephen Selby, an expert consultant in traditional shooting from the Shaolin Monastery in Henan. Before the competitive part, he was very happy to conduct training in traditional Chinese shooting and left his interesting book for those who want to delve deeper into these skills. The professor and his wife were one of the first guests at the "Khan" hotel in the village of Neofit Rilski. Having traveled all over the world, they gave a high rating to the hospitality of the Historical Park.

A large part of the bow masters had the pleasure of spending the night in a real yurt in the settlement "Naedno" in the village of Neophyt Rilski. For the ones looking for luxury and comfort, the newest gem of the hotel, the "Khan", has met their expectations.

The kitchen of the Historical Park made sure that all the bow virtuosos had a delicious meal.

After the last shot, everyone gathered in front of the Thracian palace to participate in the climax of the competition: the awarding ceremony for the best archers. In the individual competition, the medals for adults in both male and female categories went to the Bulgarian clubs VELICHIE and Siva from Historical Park and the Bagatur School from Stara Zagora. The children section from "Siva" were awarded in their category. Among the juniors, the gold and bronze went to Bursa, Turkey, and the silver was proudly taken by the "METAL ARCHERY" club, from Aytos. The team shooting medals went to Romania, Turkey and Moldova.

In the unlimited shooting "flight", the female awards went to Siva, Historical Park, and the men's went to Transylvania, Romania.
