The Nevskaya Pitra Paint Factory has been producing high-quality products for professional artists and art lovers for 86 years.

Today we are the only company in Russia with a full cycle for the production of professional art supplies.

The company was founded in 1934 on the basis of a small paint and varnish factory, built in 1900 by the English technologist Julius Friedlander on the banks of the Black River. On December 1st, 1934, in accordance with the order of G. K. Ordzhonikidze, the Leningrad factory for artistic paints of the All-Russian Association of the Paint Industry became one of the operating factories.

From its inception to the present day, Nevskaya Palitra has been working closely with Russian and foreign masters of painting, listening to their expertise, following market trends and technological innovations. Innovative developments of our own laboratory, time-tested recipes and proven technologies have made St. Petersburg paints the flagship of Russian industry. At the same time, the production keeps the secrets of the traditional recipes for preparing paints, and some stages of the production rely exclusively on handmade labour.

The Nevskaya Palitra factory produces a wide range of products, which includes: watercolour, oil, tempera, acrylic, gouache, supplies for children's creativity, auxiliary supplies for painting, as well as for decorative and applied arts. The choice of the series depends on the creative task that the artist sets for himself.

Today, the products of the Nevskaya Palitra plant are well known to both renowned craftsmen and beginners. The brands "Beli Noshti" and "Maystorski Klas"  are present in the arsenal of prominent artists from Russia, the CIS, the Baltic States, Europe, the United States and China. The paints developed in the factory's laboratory are traditionally used in the restoration of masterpieces of world-famous painting from the collections of the State Hermitage, the Russian State Museum, the Kremlin Palace and the Tretyakov State Gallery.
