The soul of the Bulgarian people is very rich and real. Everyone dreams of a real relationship and to this day we can say that thanks to the heritage bequeathed to us by our ancestors such as culture, language, writing, religion and customs, that we - the Bulgarians, are a haven for those seeking the true meaning of mankind.

In honour of Bulgarian literature and culture, the Historical Park for the second consecutive year organises an international competition for historical painting, this time christened "the Cyrillic script".

This is the first event of its kind, which involved over 300 artists from 20 different countries, creating on the theme of Bulgarian culture. The competition gave a chance to Bulgarian and international artists to express themselves, creating works of art that will echo in eternity.

The event is useful not only for the participants, but also for the visitors, with which we create a society of people with different goals and dreams, but united by a common idea. We are a worthy people who have done great deeds, and that is what we must show through our actions.

Thanks to the exhibition "the Cyrillic script", we restored the Bulgarian confidence, self-esteem and faith that he can reach new heights.

In a few days, on the 24th of May from 3 p.m., we will have an award ceremony in which we will determine which paintings have earned the top three places in the competition for 2021.

Their evaluation will be performed by a specialised jury, as well as by the votes of those who visited the exhibition on site and online. The opinion of both juries (specialists and the audience) will have equal weight.

The criteria by which the jury evaluates which works deserve the top three positions are:

- correspondence of the content of the picture with the theme of the competition;

- artistic skill: technique and quality of the painting;

- originality of the image, special creative style, bright, expressive disclosure in the image.

The paintings of the artists who took the first three places remain the property of the Historical Park, and the winners will be awarded diplomas and financial prizes:

1st place - 10,000 levas;

2nd place - 3,000 levas;

3rd place - 2,000 levas.
