The upcoming edition of the International Medieval Festival "New Beginning" brings together history and tradition lovers in the Historical Park once more.
For the sixth consecutive year, the Historical Park will host the International Medieval Festival "New Beginning".
The historical complex, which for several years has become a place for long-awaited meetings of enthusiasts and professionals, once again provides a stage for the performance of associations for authentic historical reconstruction. During two whole days, the 21st and 22nd of June 2025, independent reenactors, master craftsmen, musicians and artists will immerse themselves and the guests of the complex in the authentic atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
The festival, which has already become a tradition, offers a program that is as diverse as it is exciting. Distinguished by its diversity, this year's program will exceed all expectations.
The central place in the festival program is occupied by spectacular demonstrations of epic battles, played out live in front of the audience.
Heavily armed, brave warriors clad in iron armour will face each other in realistic clashes, revealing not only their physical endurance and fighting skills, but also truly conveying the spirit of medieval battles.
Large-scale and demonstrative, the reconstruction duels in historical fencing will put to a real test not only medieval weapons, but also the quality of protective equipment.
Filled with dynamics and authenticity, historical fencing with iron swords and axes will be the basis of carefully prepared and precisely executed movements, ensuring maximum realism and safety for the participants. These fierce battles and mass clashes under the open sky are guaranteed to leave a lasting impact on those present.
Special attention will be paid to training teenagers in skills such as fencing, archery and horse riding. These activities not only entertain young visitors, but also inspire them to learn more about the history and traditions of Bulgaria.
