For the fifth year in a row, the Ministry of Tourism awarded the representatives of business, municipalities and media during the Annual Tourism Awards 2020. The candidates competed in 11 categories, of which 4 professional, 5 artistic and 1 specially designed for Bulgarian municipalities. All tourist sites included in the "100 national tourist sites" and "50 little known places" competed for the grand prize "The Choice of the Bulgarians". Nearly 33,000 votes were cast during the online vote, which determined the winners of the competition.
Historical Park is the triple winner of the Annual Tourism Awards 2020. The Park was awarded by voters in two of the professional categories - "Tourist attraction / site" and "Innovation", as well as in the special award "The choice of Bulgarians" for the second consecutive year.
The winners of the Annual Awards in Tourism 2020 received a statuette depicting the symbol of the beauty of Bulgaria and a trademark of the competition: the Bulgarian rose, made by Dimitar Germanov especially for the ceremony.
The Historical Park team would like to thank everyone who voted for the recognition. In the 2020 season, the Park welcomed thousands of visitors from near and far thanks to its large open areas and the ability to follow all recommended measures against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Our guests managed to gather solar energy, to try traditional food prepared from natural Bulgarian products with a lot of love, to break away from the busy everyday life and to immerse themselves in the magic of the glorious past. In the context of a pandemic, we held a number of events that revived the Bulgarian spirit among young and old: the International Art Exhibition-Competition "Historical Painting", the Auto Exhibition-Competition for Branded Cars with Bulgarian Symbols "We are Bulgaria", the first anniversary of the opening of Historical Park, the historical evening performances "The Legacy of Khan Kubrat" and "The Thracian Royal Feast", the role playing game "The New Khan" and private events such as weddings, anniversaries, team building activities and many more.
In 2021, we will welcome you with many novelties.
We are preparing a colourful event calendar, as well as the grand opening of the "Second Bulgarian Kingdom" zone. Follow the Facebook page and the site of the Historical Park.
We will open our doors to visitors again in March.
Keep your body and spirit healthy!
