Darzalas is the Thracian god of the underworld and fertility, similar to Kabir, whose cult is attested in the ancient city of Odessos, modern-day Varna. The Thracian god Darzalas is the main deity of Odessos, revered as the patron of the city, sailors, family and merchants. He is depicted as a mature man with a beard, holding in his hand the horn of plenty. Mysteries, processions, games and competitions were organized in honour of Darzalas as evidenced by ancient Greek and Latin sources.
