For the fourth year in a row, the Historical Park organises its international exhibition and competition of historical painting. Over 500 artists from 20 different countries took part in the competition. 15,000 visitors of the Historical Park attended the exhibition, and 125 of the works were sold at our art market.

The theme of this year's edition of the exhibition is "Peasant uprisings around the world".

The history of peasant uprisings covers a period of over two thousand years. Various reasons have fuelled the emergence of this phenomenon where people have shown that the power to change and live the life they want rests in their hands. We give you the opportunity to choose some of these historical moments and present it to the general public.

The objectives of the competition

• Discovering talented artists and supporting them in the process of creative development.

• Encouraging interest in history and culture.

• Assisting artists in presenting their works to the general public.

• Helping artists in selling their works.

Artists from Bulgaria and abroad over the age of 18 can participate in the competition. Authors must register in advance on the Historical Park website.

A photo of the painting with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, a description of the theme and the author's contact details must be sent to the e-mail: event@ipark.bg by the 15th of April 2023.

The competition will take place from the 1st to the 31st of May 2023. And the exhibition will continue from the 1st of May to the 4th of September 2023. The art work can be left until the end of the exhibition at the author's request. Paintings will be bought and sold during the exhibition period.

The paintings of the participants in the contest will be evaluated by a jury, by the park's visitors, as well as on our website from 10:00 a.m. on May 1st to 12:00 a.m. on May the 31st, 2023 by voting.

Prize fund:

- 1 place - 10,000 levas;

- 2nd place – 3,000 levas;

- 3rd place – 2,000 levas.
