Historical Park AD with UIC 202785815, address: Bulgaria, Varna district, Vetrino municipality, Neofit Rilski village, "Historical Park" announces an exhibition-contest for historical painting on the topic "the Cyrillic Script" (hereinafter referred to as "the contest).
The time period to which the topic refers is from the creation of the Bulgarian alphabet to the end of the 15th century. The desire of the organizers is to present stories from the creation and distribution of the Bulgarian alphabet around the world.
There are two age categories in the competition: adults and children.
RULES: Children Category
1.1. This regulation for the competition determines the procedure for organizing and conducting the competition, criteria for selection of the paintings, the composition of the participants and the procedure for awarding the winners.
1.2. The competition is organized by Historical Park AD.
2. Objectives of the competition
2.1. Discovery of talented artists and supporting them in the process of creative development.
2.2. Formation of interest in the history of antiquity and the medieval periods of Bulgaria.
3. Participants in the Competition
3.1. Artists from different cities in Bulgaria and from other countries are invited to participate.
3.2. Participants are evaluated in three age groups - up to 8 years, up to 12 years. and up to 18 years.
3.3. The physical participation of the artists in the exhibition is not obligatory.
3.4. The authors must register on the website https://ipark.bg/en-US.
4. Requirements for paintings
4.1. Each participant can submit no more than one work to the competition.
4.2. The picture should be signed by the author.
4.3. Recommended canvas size: 35/50 or 50/70 cm.
4.4. The picture should be painted using one of the following techniques: watercolour, acrylic, oil paints or graphics.
4.5. A title is needed for the work and a short description of the subject.
4.6. To show variety and expressiveness in their works.
4.7. To reflect in their works the theme of the competition.
4.8. Presentation of a triptych will be considered as participation with one work.
4.9. The photo of the picture must be sent by e-mail: event@ipark.bg by April 10th, 2021.
4.10. Collective works are not accepted.
4.11. The author guarantees that he has personally created the work and is the sole author, and also that in creating the work he has not infringed the copyrights or other rights of third parties, that he has all rights to the work, that this is his original work. that neither the work itself nor part of it is an imitation or copied or borrowed from another author and that the Author will not violate anyone's rights and legitimate interests.
5. Procedure and schedule for the competition
5.1. Works for the competition are accepted until April 20th, 2021 at the address: 9002, Bulgaria, Varna, 8 Dobri Voynikov Str.
5.2. The paintings of the participants in the competition are evaluated by the jury, by the visitors of the park, as well as on the website https://ipark.bg/ from 10:00 on May 1st to 20:00 on May 23rd, 2021 by voting.
5.3. Participants are evaluated in three age groups - up to 8 years, up to 12 years. and up to 18 years. There is a first, second and third place for each age group. The best presented work becomes the big winner of the competition.
The winners will be awarded with diplomas and cash prizes:
• The drawings of the big winner in each age group - 500 levas (250 euros)
• The drawings in second and third place in each age group receive incentive prizes of 60 levas (30 euros) and 40 levas (20 euros), respectively, for visiting the Historical Park.
• All participants receive a diploma signed by the Historical Park
5.4. The results of the competition will be announced on May 24th at the exhibition in the Historical Park. The results of the competition and the photos of the paintings will be published on the website of the Historical Park www.ipark.bg/en-US . The paintings of the big winners become the property of the Historical Park, against payment of the cash prizes under item 5.3. The authors and Historical Park AD can sign a separate contract for the transfer of ownership of the paintings.
5.5. The award ceremony will take place no later than 10 working days after the announcement of the results of the competition in the Historical Park (Bulgaria, Varna district, Vetrino district, Neofit Rilski village).
5.6. Diplomas and cash prizes are awarded to the winners no earlier than the established day of the award ceremony, provided they have an identity document.
5.7. The organizers reserve the right to decide "who does not meet the conditions of the competition".
5.8. Only pqintings created from today until April 20th, 2021 can participate in the competition.
5.9. The paintings must be submitted in original to the Historical Park by April 20, 2021. by personal delivery by prior arrangement or sending by courier.
6. Evaluation criteria
6.1. Correspondence of the content of the painting with the theme of the competition.
6.2. Artistic skill: technique and quality of the painting.
6.3. The originality of the image, a special creative style, bright, expressive content in the image.
7. Jury
7.1. The works will be exhibited in the gallery of "Historical Park", as well as in the virtual exhibition on the website https://ipark.bg/, from 01st to 31st May 2021.
7.2. Their evaluation will be done by a special jury of specialists appointed by the Historical Park, by the visitors of the park and on the site www.ipark.bg during the exhibition, and the opinion of both juries (specialists and the audience) will be equally important. Voting will be possible only by visitors on site and online on the website https://ipark.bg.
7.3. Information about the ineligible works and the motives of the jury is not provided. Unaccepted works are returned.
7.4. The results of the judging will be announced on the website https://ipark.bg, the social networks of the Historical Park and the media.
8. Sending the pictures
8.1. The costs of sending the works to the Historical Park are at the expense of the participants.
8.2. The organizers cover the costs of transporting the works back to the artists after the end of the exhibition. The organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged works during their transportation to the exhibition and back.
8.3. Each work must have the following information:
• The name of the author, exact address and contact phone number;
• Title, technique, year, size in centimeters;
• The application of a short creative biography is recommended.
9. Rights of the organizers
9.1. The organizers reserve the right to use the information provided by the authors in the preparation of an electronic catalog of the competition. The organizers have the right to reproduce each work, and to use information about the author and the picture only on the website https://ipark.bg, the social networks of the Historical Park, in the media and in the electronic catalog of the exhibition.
