Historical Park is the place that unites, preserves and gives strength to the soul of everyone. A force with which to overcome any difficulty that the future brings, because this is what the real Bulgarians do. We are fighters, discoverers and creators and each of us needs to remember it.

Here the light does not go out, but burns like a flame. Here the disillusioned Bulgarians forget about the problems, because the Historical Park is a beacon of hope and is ready to welcome you more prepared than ever! Now let's share three of the big upcoming events with which we will welcome you this new season.

1. Auto-Show "We are Bulgaria".

For the second year in a row, the Historical Park announces its competition with cars sporting custom designs, celebrating Bulgarian imagery. You will witness different companies and people uniting with a common goal: to advertise Bulgaria, bringing a spark of joy to the soul of the people.

The event will take place from the 23th to the 25th of April, ​​in the parking lot of the Historical Park.

2. Exhibition-contest of historical painting "the Cyrillic Script".

The event is open to all artists from Bulgaria and abroad with paintings on the topic. Paintings depicting the topic, the creation and development of the Cyrillic alphabet around the world, will be presented.

The time period to which the topic refers starts from the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet to the end of the 15th century.

If you are a spectator, choose a day from the 1st to the 31st of May to admire the spectacular works of the artists!

3. Medieval festival "New Beginning".

From the 18th to the 20th of June, we will celebrate the birthday of the Historical Park with the biggest medieval festival on the Balkan Peninsula!

At the event you will see many medieval battles, evening concerts with Bulgarian music and performers, a market that will offer medieval goods from around the world, many games and entertainment for participants and spectators.

This will be the first big festival after the coronavirus pandemic, with which we will get out of fear and division together!

As part of the festival, you will enjoy the event: Competition for the composition of a musical creation - Anthem. Its aim is to inspire artists to create and perform music in praise of our beautiful homeland, nature and glorious history. The winner has the opportunity to win 20,000 levas.

4. International Food Festival

In August, an international food festival will be held on the territory of the Historical Park, where visitors and participants will be able to learn, see and try ancient and traditional recipes from around the world. An interesting program has been prepared, and there will be surprises for the visitors on site.

5. International traditional archery tournament

On the 25th and 26th of September in Bulgaria, on the territory of the Historical Park, the tournament with the largest prize fund in the world will take place: the International Tournament of traditional archery "Historical Park" Bulgaria, 2021. Over two hundred archers from Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, etc., will participate and compete in this archery tournament, using the different historical types of bow from Antiquity and the Middle Ages.

6. Historical shows

Historical shows will be held in the evenings at the Historical Park throughout the active season. They are performed in front of the only Thracian palace in the world. In addition to the performances, visitors will be able to enjoy original Bulgarian music, a fire show and other surprises.
