Khan Tervel is the successor of Khan Asparukh of the Dulo clan, he is considered to be his eldest son. During his reign, he skillfully combined diplomacy with military force, thanks to which he achieved exceptional authority and international recognition of Bulgaria. Among the most significant events of his reign was his battle against the Arabs under the walls of besieged Constantinople, where the Bulgarians completely destroyed the Arab land forces in the spring of 718. Western chroniclers say that between 20,000 and 32,000 Arabs died and mention the name of Khan Tervel as the continent's first saviour.

This sculpture suits capable, exceptional strategists and brave people who have the readiness to unite, create and build.
