1. General conditions

1.1. The present regulation of the competition determines the procedure for organising and conducting the competition, criteria for selecting the paintings, the composition of the participants, the procedure for awarding the winners.

1.2. The competition is organised by "Historical Park" AD.

2. Objectives of the Competition

2.1. Discovering talented artists and supporting them in the process of their creative development.

2.2. Creation of interest in history and culture.

2.3. Assisting artists in presenting their work to the general public.

2.4. Helping artists sell their work.

3. Participants of the competition

3.1. Artists from Bulgaria and abroad are allowed to participate.

3.2. Artists over the age of 18 can participate in the competition.

3.3. The physical participation of the artists in the exhibition is not mandatory.

3.4. Authors must register on the website https://ipark.bg/en-US.

4. Requirements concerning the paintings

4.1. Each participant can present only one work.

4.2. The picture can be framed or sent as a roll, as the author sees fit.

4.3. The painting must be signed by the author.

4.4. Size of the work: minimum 70x100 cm.

4.5. The work must be painted using one of the following techniques: watercolour, acrylic, oil paints or graphics (no computer graphics). Recommended style: realism.

4.6. The painting should have a title include a brief description of the plot.

4.7. Artists must show inventiveness and expressiveness in their works.

4.8. Artists must reflect the theme of the competition in their paintings.

4.9. Submission of a diptych or triptych will count as a single entry.

4.10. A photo of the painting with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, a description of the plot, the author's contact details must be sent to the e-mail: event@ipark.bg by the 15th of April 2023.

4.11. Collective works are not accepted.

4.12. The author guarantees that:

- he personally created the submitted work and is the sole author of it,

- when creating the work, he did not violate copyright or other rights of third parties,

- has all the rights to the work, that it is his original work, that neither the work itself nor any part of it is an imitation, or copied, or borrowed from another author,

- will not violate anyone's rights and legitimate interests.

5. Procedure and schedule of the competition

5.1. The competition runs from May 1st to May 31st, 2023. The exhibition runs from May 1st to September 4th, 2023. The painting can be left until the end of the exhibition at the author's request. Paintings will be bought and sold during the exhibition period.

5.2. The works for the competition are accepted until April 25th, 2023 at the address: Bulgaria, Varna region, Vetrino municipality, Neofit Rilski village 9223, "Historical Park".

5.3. The pictures of the participants in the competition are evaluated by the jury, by the visitors of the Park, as well as on the website https://ipark.bg/ from 10:00 a.m. on May 1st to 00:00 a.m. on May 31st, 2023 by voting.

5.4. The winners will be awarded with certificates and cash prizes:

• 1 place - BGN 10,000;

• 2nd place – BGN 3,000;

• 3rd place – BGN 2,000.

5.5. The results of the competition will be announced on June 1st, 2023 in the Historical Park. The results of the competition will be published on the Historical Park website https://ipark.bg/en-US. The paintings that won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place become the property of the Historical Park, upon payment of the monetary prizes under section 5.4.

5.6. The award ceremony will take place no later than 10 working days after the announcement of the results of the competition in the Historical Park (Bulgaria, Varna region, Vetrino municipality, Neofit Rilski village).

5.7. Certificates and cash prizes are awarded to winners no earlier than 30 working days after the award ceremony, provided they have proof of identity.

5.8. The organisers reserve the right not to accept works that do not meet the conditions of the competition.

5.9. Only works created between today and April 25th, 2023 can participate in the contest.

5.10. The originals of the paintings must be to the Historical Park by the 25th of April 2023 by personal delivery with prior arrangement or sending by courier.

6. Evaluation criteria

6.1. Correspondence of the content of the picture with the theme of the competition.

6.2. Artistic skill: technique and picture quality.

6.3. The originality of the image, a special creative style, bright, expressive disclosure in the image.

7. Jury

7.1. The works will be exhibited in the gallery of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom of the "Historical Park", as well as in the virtual exhibition on the website https://ipark.bg/, from May 1 to May 31, 2023.

7.2. Their evaluation will be done by a special jury of specialists appointed by the Historical Park, by visitors to the park and on the website www.ipark.bg during the period of the exhibition, and the opinion of both juries (specialists and the public) will have equal weight . Voting can only be done by visitors on site and online at https://ipark.bg.

7.3. Information about works not allowed for participation and the jury's reasons is not provided.

7.4. The results of the judging will be announced on the website https://ipark.bg and on the social networks of the Historical Park.

8. Sending the paintings

8.1. The costs of transporting the works to the Historical Park are at the expense of the participants.

8.2. The organisers do not bear the costs of packaging and transporting the works back to the artists.

The works will be sent back to the artists within 60 days after the end of the exhibition.

The organisers are not responsible for lost or damaged works during their transport to the exhibition and back.

8.3. Each work must have the following information:

• Author's name, exact address and contact telephone number;

• Title, technique, year, size in centimetres;

• Description of the plot;

• Declaration of authenticity signed by the author.

9. Organisers' rights

9.1. The organisers reserve the right to use the information provided by the authors in the preparation of the competition's catalog. The organisers have the right to reproduce any work and use information about the author and the painting only on the website https://ipark.bg, on the social networks of the Historical Park, in the media and in the catalog of the exhibition.

10. Purchase of works during an exhibition

10.1. Each author must submit details about the evaluated price of their work.

10.2. The process of reserve the paintings will take place at the time of the exhibition.

10.3. The procedure of the sale of the works will be done from May 31th, 2023 to September 4, 2023.

10.4. Historical Park takes a commission of 20% of each sale.

10.5. The authors' fees will be paid by the 15th of December.2023.

Образование и квалификации: 1974–1978 Исторически факултет на ВТУ „Кирил и Методий“ (история); 1969–1972 Втора гимназия „Иван Вазов“, Добрич (математическа паралелка); 2002 Защитена дисертация на тема „Въоръжението и снаряжението от българското средновековие (края на VІІ – ХІ век)“ за присъждане на научната степен „доктор“.

Мирослав Йотов.

Мирослав Стефанов Йотов е роден на 26 юли 1977 г. в Исперих. Завършва средното си образование със специалност графичен дизайн в Разград. През 2000 г. завършва Шуменския университет със специалност педагогика на изобразителното изкуство. Има няколко участия в студентски изложби. Започва да се занимава с живопис през 2005-а. През същата година печели скулптурна награда на пленер в Шумен. Първата му самостоятелна живописна изложба е през 2006 г. Поради засиления интерес към неговите произведения от 2005 година той основно се занимава с поръчкова маслена живопис и скулптура.
