From the 26th to the 29th of August, the Historical Park will opens its doors for the first International Festival of Traditional Food.

Traditions are an integral part of every culture and help to preserve it over the centuries. Many folk customs are associated with food, so just like language, it is a vital ethnic feature and part of folklore. The use of certain ingredients and cooking methods that are passed down from generation to generation is called traditional cuisine.

Due to the growing globalisation of the food market, many traditional foods are at risk of extinction, and with them a key element of our cultural wealth.

The Traditional Food Festival at the Historical Park will help transfer knowledge from the past to the present and the future. Here, in the heart of the Park, amidst the beautiful nature, the coolness of the lakes and the authentic historical atmosphere, you will have the opportunity to visit culinary workshops and numerous presentations of traditional dishes from Bulgaria and the neighbouring Balkan countries.

Master chefs, famous sommelier and organic food producers will demonstrate their skills in preparing traditional dishes and producing food that nourishes our health and spirit.

Plenty of tastes from different, near and far places will be a great occasion to take a trip to the Historical Park to stay with an unforgettable experience.

In addition to culinary temptations during the festival days, we will revive the past through demonstrations by the reconstruction team of the school "Majesty" at the Historical Park, music and dance performances by local ensembles and other surprises.
